President's Message for September 2011

Greetings ladies,

Our next meeting is on September 1st 2011.

Our new Officers are: Earnestine Hanks -President, Wanda Dieterich,- Vice President , Sherally Haskins- second vice president,  Bobbie Gross; Secretary- Gail Marion; Treasure; Mary Ruth, Rosier- Historian, Irene Porter- Sgt. Arms: Marie Wager- Color Bearer.   A chaplain is needed.  Executive Committee; Kathy Adams, Ginny Cooper, Marolyn Wyatt.

I would like for all of the Auxiliary ladies to pray for Sandi Duncan’s son who is in a coma . We pray that he will come out of this coma , and that our prayers go out to Sandi and her son.

Ladies, the country store and the Chili cook off will be coming up in October.  I am asking all ladies start collecting their items so we can make this a big success.

I would like to thank all the ladies from The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 159, that went to Whitney Texas for Leadership Unit 522.  Those ladies were Bobbie Gross, Marolyn Wyatt, Virginia Cooper, Irene Porter and myself Earnestine Hanks.  We  had a wonderful time and learned a lots of new things from  District 6.  I encourage all of the Auxiliary ladies to attend a 6 District workshop.

On September 1st please bring extra food. We are going to have extra guest from 70 to 80 people.
